Cottage located on shore of lower L. Pahtajärvi. Pahtajärvi is a 1.8 km long and 500 m wide, clearwater, good quality inland lake. Average depth 3-4 m. Owner also agent for salmon fishing permits and fishing 'packages' to R.Tornionjoki and R.Muonionjoki.

Fish species: In L.Pahtajärvi whitefish, vendace, pike, perch and burbot. Most common fishing methods: reel and lure fishing, rod and line (worm) fishing, ice hole (pilkki) fishing, 'katiska' fish trap and net. Seasons for different fish: pike spring-autumn, perch all year round, whitefish spring and autumn, burbot January-March, salmon June-15th August. Owner is trained fishing guide, available all year round, € 20-25 /hour.

Fishing permits: L.Pahtajärvi: reel and lure, rod and line (worm), ice hole (pilkki) fishing and 1 'katiska' fish trap permit /cottage included in cottage rental, net permit € 5 /week, max. 5 nets. Nearby is more extensive Juoksenki fishing waters owner's syndicate area, with permit area of 470 ha (includes L.Ratasjärvi, L.Ylinen, L.Vähäjärvi and L.
